If you have an emergency recovery please call us on 02 8338 9063 after submitting your account application or if you do have any further general questions, feel free to email us at contact@globalmicro.com.au or call us on 02 8338 9063 during business hours.

  • I can't access my account, what do I do?

The first thing we always suggest is to double check your Access ID. Please note that typically, the second character in your access ID is a 0 (Zero) not an O (for Oscar).

If you're sure you have the correct access ID, the next thing we can suggest is to try to reset your password by Clicking Here or on the Reset Password link at the bottom of the Login screen.

  • Pet Owner FAQ’s

  • Why register with Global Micro Animal Registry?

Registries run by state and local councils are primarily concerned with being able to identify a pet and its owner after the pet has been found and handed in to a council shelter or pound, often with fees and/or penalties imposed on the owner for losing their pet in the first place.

Our priority is in reuniting owners and missing pets as quickly and safely as possible. That’s why as a member of the Global Micro family, you will have access to a range of features all designed to help reunite you with your loved ones.

Every one of our members has access to their details 24/7 online to keep their information up to date at any time. We can then share this with our authorised vet's and council officials allowing for immediate identification of your pet and ensuring that they are provided the absolute best care while they wait for you to get to them.

We also offer an upgrade to Gold Membership that provides even more benefits. With a click of a button, you can activate a missing pet alert from your mobile, desktop or other device to local Vets, Pounds, Councils and Spotters Network within minutes. Sign up and receive up to $30 worth of value with a complimentary Welcome Pack delivered straight to your door, filled with goodies and tips on how to maximise your search efforts.

  • Why do I need to Microchip and Register my pet?

Registering your pet makes it easier to return them to you if they go missing and almost any domestic animal can be microchipped and registered, including birds and reptiles.

In most states across Australia, it is also a legal requirement that all cats, dogs (excluding some working farm dogs) and horses are microchipped with an ISO approved PPID (Prescribed Permanent Identification Device) for life. Some councils also require your pet to be registered with them after the microchip is implanted. We recommend that you contact your local council to find out whether this applies to you.

If you're not sure which council you belong to, click on the relevant state here:
  • I've purchased or received an animal, what do I do next?

It’s important to know that the previous owner (the pet's current registered owner in our system) is responsible to ensure the ownership details of your new pet are changed from their name to yours.

In the first instance, we always recommend getting back in touch with the breeder of previous owner and asking them to do this for you.

If they don't respond or are unsure of the process themselves, you can navigate to our Change Ownership page to find a more detailed explanation of how to proceed.

If you're still unsure of the process, please give us a call on 02 8338 9063 or send us an email at contact@globalmicro.com.au and we will be able to help you further.

  • I've sold or given my animal to someone else, what do I do?

If you have sold or given your pet to someone else, it is your (as the pet's current owner) responsibility to ensure the ownership details of your pet are changed to the new owner.

To do this, you can login to this website by Clicking Here or by clicking Login from the top of any page on our website. Simply navigate to the My Pets page where will be able to complete a Change of Ownership in to someone else’s name for the selected pet.

This will allow you to complete the Change of Ownership to the new owner online which, once all the required information has been entered and payment has been received, will instantly transfer the selected pet to the new owner and send them a notification advising them that they now have a pet registered in their name. Please note: This will incur a transfer fee as a once off payment.
